Here’s Geoff from geoffmobile.com with a totally original, live improvisation / practice / jam on his Roland Gaia SH-01 synthesizer.
I love this synth, it’s very versatile and quite intuitive!
In this video I explore a bunch of tones, colors, textures, and melodic / harmonic ideas on this amazing synthesizer. I highly recommend the Roland Gaia SH-01 instrument – it is incredibly powerful and fun to use once you start discovering how to be expressive with it.
Thanks for watching!

Technical notes:
Audio recorded directly from synth into a Zoom H1 recording in 48khz 24bit (using a stereo quarter inch to miniplug adapter cable). To maintain a consistent volume in the final video, the audio track was split into sections and the gain of the recording was adjusted manually (according to the volume of different sections) in Adobe Premiere Pro and synced to the video using Premiere.
Camera: Sony Cybershot DSC-HX30v (I highly recommend this camera :). Set to Tungsten white balance with WB adjust manually set. EV -1.0. Recording in 30p MP4 mode.
Edited on a Windows 7 Dell PC (Intel i7 and USB 3.0 for a faster workflow).
