I found that the most affordable way to purchase a Vuze XR Camera in Canada is through the retailer BH Photo Video in the USA. This New York based retailer regularly ships products to Canada and the shipping, taxes, and duty is all taken care of when you purchase through them.

My Vuze XR arrived promptly and there was no hassle with Canada Customs. It was new, shrinkwrapped in the original box, and the cashier’s receipt was also included from the BH Photo Video New York store.

On Black Friday 2020, the Vuze XR was discounted to $299 USD which was an amazing deal, and I fortunately picked it up at that price. The normal price as of January 2021 is $399 USD.

You can check the Vuze XR Facebook group for any upcoming deals:

Thanks for watching! I hope you enjoy your Vuze XR Camera in Canada.

Feel free to check out my website at geoffmobile.com or my Youtube channel at youtube.com/geoffmobile for some example videos shot using the Vuze XR Camera in Vancouver BC Canada.

In this video, Geoff from geoffmobile.com takes the Seabus (passenger ferry) from Downtown Vancouver to North Vancouver’s Lonsdale Quay terminal, and then explores the Lonsdale Quay Market area.

This video shows the entire northbound crossing across Burrard Inlet. I also include several relaxing shots of the Lonsdale Quay Market outdoor plaza and finally a shot indoors of the Lonsdale Quay Market Atrium.

This was recorded in 3D 180 VR using the Vuze XR – a 180 3D VR camera. A Stayblcam stabilizer was used for all the shots in this video, to keep camera movement to a minimum.

Special thanks to Translink (operator of the Seabus), and to Lonsdale Quay Market in North Vancouver for being a great destination and day trip from downtown Vancouver.

VR 180 3D video was captured in full automatic setting, and exported in Auto/Optimal ProRes 422 from Vuze XR Studio. White balance was set using grey cards used throughout the filming, calibrated in post using Lumetri color picker (used a Gaussian blur to average out the colors of the grey card before using the Lumetri Color eyedropper on the grey card area in the footage). Video edited in Adobe Premiere (Legal Creative Cloud license) and exported as a 5.7k 3D stereoscopic side-by-side VR 180 H.264 video using “target bitrate” of 135 Mbps and “maximum bitrate” of 240 Mbps, at maximum rendering depth and maximum render quality.
