I went to Robson Sushi today and I had a very different experience. My order was what I usually get anywhere. Spicy Tuna roll, Yam Tempura Roll, Dynamite Roll, and another roll in this case a cucumber roll. I also get ebi sunomono and gomae. First of all, out of all the empty tables they could have given us they gave us the one that was just used and made us wait untill he cleared it off. The gomae came first and it resembled more of a soup than a salad. There was so much peanut sauce in the bowl it was hard to actually keep it in. Although it tasted, ok I guess, it wasn’t appetizing at all to look at. I didn’t finish it. Next the ebi sunomono came and I instantly knew that this had been sitting out due to the noodles being completely soaked through. They were very limp and so water-logged they felt like speghetti noodles. It was warm and very very unapealling. I also didn’t finish it. Next came the rolls and again was very obvious that these rolls were pre-made, even the spicy tuna roll! The dynamite roll was ok but just that, I did finish that, but something was off with the cucumber roll, which still boggles my mind because I don’t know how you could go wrong there. The tuna in the spicy tuna roll was slimy and sticky and really didn’t sit well. The yam roll was greasy and was very mediocre but after the other stuff that happened I didn’t end up eating anything else. I complained and they still wanted a tip. Unbeleivable. On top of everything else the entire place was dirty and the bathrooms were a disaster. This place should be shut down. They have obviously lost the disire to dine people and keep a clean comfortable eating environment.
