If you would like a copy of my arrangement / sheet music, please email me!
I have a PDF and Finale file available :)

This medley was originally recorded by Barbra Streisand in her 1971 album “Barbra Joan Streisand”. My arrangement is quite similar to this recording except I simplified the ending a bit :)

Special thanks to Richard Pinto, director of Pacific Soul Choir at Chorus Studio for giving me the opportunity to perform. And thank you to all the amazing choir members who shared their music and supported each other on this special open mic night and wrap party!

Recorded using Vuze XR and Zoom H2n using Ambisonic Sound in VR 180. Please watch in a VR headset such as the Oculus Quest 2 for an immersive and 3D experience!

Cheers,
Geoff

Dear colleagues, friends, and fellow professionals,

In my life I have always enjoyed both computers and music. A way my parents first encouraged me to practice piano was to say that I could only use the computer after I practiced my piano. I developed a love for both music and tech.

I have continued playing music as a hobby while working as a software developer full time for the past 16 years.

I recently got to know the beautiful and positive community of Chorus Studio in Vancouver and about two months ago I joined their Pacific Soul Choir directed by Richard Pinto.

We had an open mic night this week for the choir members, and I loved how supportive everyone was for each other’s music.

Many members come from diverse backgrounds such as myself, including journalism, high tech, health care, emergency services, accounting and finance, etc and everyone shares a love for music.

This is a video recording of my performance at the open mic night this week. I was happy to share a work in progress, my own arrangement of a beautiful Barbra Streisand medley.

This is just the initial stages of my work on this song, I hope to keep enjoying it and learning it over the coming months, and intend to perform it again in different settings.

Wishing everyone a wonderful long weekend and hope you find time to nurture your passions along side your focus on your career as well!

Sincerely,
Geoff Peters
