Synopsis:
Have you ever felt powerless as an individual?
I am going to show you three ways YOU can be the person who sparks a movement, or the citizen who raises awareness and makes the world a better place. The three ways are: Create, Connect, and Care.
Toastmasters gives you power – the power to communicate, the power to listen, the power to lead. But none of this would exist if Ralph Smedley hadn’t done the first step – CREATE.
It is easier than ever to connect with others who share the same interests or goals.
Websites such as Toastmasters.org, Facebook, Meetup, Twitter, or even Youtube allow people to CONNECT.
But let’s say you created a community, and you connected with some amazing people, and you’re all fired up to go out and do something. All this energy and all this power you have is only good if you actually CARE about having a positive impact on the world.
You may be concerned about something in the world.
Do you want to save the environment? Do you care about the rights and freedoms of minorities? Do you care about helping people in your community?
You’ve taken the first step through Toastmasters of getting the power to speak and listen. Bring your Toastmasters skills back into the community and start making a difference.
After you Create a community with similar interests or goals, you can Connect with others, and then you must direct this energy towards something you really Care about.
Through the new tools and leverage available to us today, it has never been easier to start a revolution.
