What is Magic Lantern?

Magic lantern is a free add-on firmware for Canon SLR cameras that adds a lot of professional-quality video camera features.

Features include:
-Control over the audio gain (for better recording music and voice)
-Focus peaking (focus assist and follow focus during video)
-Spot metering readout during video
-Magic zoom
-Time lapse and interval, bulb ramping
-Change the bit rate of the video recording
-Automatically start the recording again if it stops.
-Take a picture automatically when there is sound, motion, or something comes in focus
-And many, many more!

Supported Cameras include the T2i (550d), the T3i (600d), 60d, 50d, 5dmk2. The 7d is not currently supported.

Filmed using Canon EOS t2i using Magic Lantern. (High ISO so the image is noisy) Edited with Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 on a Windows 7 Dell PC (64 bit, Intel i7 using USB 3.0 for a faster workflow).
