Geoff’s opinion:
I don’t think we should destroy a working piece of technology just to make a point or attract a crowd for an exciting demo. It is wasteful and this working computer could have been given to someone who doesn’t have a computer, instead of being destroyed. However, feel free to draw your own conclusions based on the video.

This was recorded on a Ricoh Theta S camera, which records in 360 degrees. It can be viewed using virtual reality headsets such as the Zeiss VR One.

Idea: A movie theatre, made with a gigantic dome, to watch a 360 video

Geoff from geoffmobile.com presents an idea for a movie theatre made of a huge dome or sphere, in which you could watch a 360 video. Advancements in screen technology could mean that a flexible tv screen cloth material could display the images. Watching at home, you could have 4 friends sitting inside a dome inside your living room. Or in a large cinema environment, up to 50 people could sit within a gigantic dome.
