Cooking: how to make Chili on Rice with Frozen Peas (Sony HX7V)

Geoff from geoffmobile.com shows how to make Chili on Rice with Frozen Peas. This is a really fast meal (under 5 minutes) that is delicious and healthy!

Recorded with Sony HX7V and edited in Windows Live Movie Maker.

Ingredients:
-Cooked steamed rice (can make in a Rice Cooker, very handy appliance)
-Canned or homemade chili (for canned, I recommend Stagg Chili, it has the best flavor and is also available in vegetarian versions.
-Frozen peas (still frozen, no need to pre-thaw)

Sony HX7V tips – how to set white balance for video recording

In this video (recorded using HX7V) I explain how to manually set the white balance for video on the Sony HX7V. At first I tried using Manual mode and setting the white balance there. But this only affects still photos, and pressing the Video button overrides these settings and it goes back to auto white balance. The solution is to dial up the video mode (don’t use the video button yet), and then choose Scene Selection, and under the scene menu, choose ISO Expanded (Low Light Sensitivity). Magically the White Balance menu item will then appear, which will take effect during video recording. Have fun!!
