One of the best places to get authentic San Francisco Sourdough is at Boudin Bakery and Cafe. Boudin is a San Francisco restaurant chain with many locations around the city.<\/p>\n<p>We went to the Boudin location at Fisherman&#8217;s Wharf, and ordered the Clam Chowder in a Sourdough Bread Bowl. The bread&#8217;s texture was perfect &#8211; that chewiness you expect from good sourdough and an awesome hint of the &#8220;sour&#8221; flavor in the bread. The clam chowder was not too salty, and was very rich and creamy. It&#8217;s definitely not a light meal (it really sticks to your ribs!), but it&#8217;s something that (if you eat seafood) shouldn&#8217;t be missed in my opinion.<\/p>\n<p>After eating we continued walking around Fisherman&#8217;s Wharf and we came across a beautiful &#8220;merry go round&#8221; amusement park ride &#8211; fun for the whole family!
