The atmosphere may be fairly utilitarian, but don’t be fooled – the staff here are very friendly and the house-made soft tofu is the main attraction, served either refreshingly cold, or comfortingly hot. A variety of toppings and flavors are available. Prices are quite reasonable.

The restaurant also has a few other snacks available, such as the Curry Fish Balls, Potstickers, and 3 kinds of Vegetarian Gluten (as shown in the video). These were quite tasty and affordable.

Deserts the Falafel Oasis is one of my favorite places for a vegetarian or vegan meal on Commercial Drive of Vancouver. It’s very reasonably priced (most items are between $5 and $10) and the Chef’s special is really delicious!

This small restaurant has excellent Lunch and Dinner Special boxes. Pictured in the video is Special Box A, which comes with:
-miso soup
-California Roll
-Sushi: Tuna, Salmon and Ebi (prawn)
-Chicken Teriyaki on rice
-Green salad
-Wasabi, picked ginger, and soya sauce.

Reasonably priced and the food tasted good! The food came out quite quickly too!

This is a great restaurant for vegan and vegetarian dinner specials. The “Chef’s Special” platter is a heaping plate of a variety of delicious vegetarian curries which are very flavorful and a little bit spicy (or a lot if you like). Served with the optional tatziki / yogurt sauce and some toasted fresh pita bread. It’s only around $7.00 and fills up my partner even though he has a big appetite

I also ordered the Latke patty which is around 3 or 4 dollars – it’s a delicious potato patty that I show in the video.

They also recently started serving vegetarian pasta for $7.00, which I am looking forward to trying soon.

The restaurant is very casual, and kind of cafeteria style where you order and pay first and then pick up your food at the counter when it is ready. You can also serve yourself water and pick up utensils from the side.

Deserts the Falafel Oasis is a great place for a quick filling vegetarian meal on the north end of Commercial Drive in Vancouver. And yes, Deserts does have Desserts too – some nice fudge bars, big homemade cookies, and more.

in the “Little Saigon” area of San Francisco.

We were sitting near the San Francisco City Hall across from the Asian Art Museum downtown and lots of birds started surrounding us once they saw we were eating. There was also a cute corgi dog that started licking up the crumbs.
