Improving Posture: How to get your shoulders to stop hunching forwards

Geoff from geoffmobile.com shares a simple tip to get your shoulders to rotate back and down, to have better posture.

Here’s the tip in case you don’t have time to watch my video:
Steps:
1. Stand straight and relaxed, knees slightly bent, make sure you don’t have too much pelvic tilt. (for more advice on how to stand with good posture, please see this tutorial:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQGg6-eG9jA )

2. Put your arms to your side. Rotate your arms so that your palms are facing forwards and thumbs are facing out and away from you.

3. Relax your shoulders and the rotation of your arms will naturally cause your shoulders to go move back and down.

4. Now your shoulders are in the proper position, you can stand or walk with your arms still rotated (if you want to practice feeling what it’s like to walk with your shoulders back), or when you are ready, keep your shoulders in the same position and rotate your arms back to a normal relaxed position.

Hope this helps!!

See you next time.
Cheers,
Geoff
