Geoff explains how to solve a problem with Windows Update on Windows 7 64 bit that occurred with the Microsoft Windows Updates on the week of August 15th 2012.
The error that Geoff experienced was that after installing updates and restarting, I got the following error: Failure configuring Windows updates. Reverting changes. Do not turn off your computer.
The culprit is the following update:
KB2647753
How to fix the Windows Update Failed / Reverting error:
By downloading and installing this update manually from Microsoft Download Center, it will solve this problem!
